This was never supposed to be some grindy survival game with tons of content in the vein of The Forest with enemies everywhere, it's a chill relaxing walk through the forest and tend to your cabin and garden type of deal. From reading what the game was supposed to be it does not seem like there was any rug pulling or huge cuts to what was promised features wise. What a weird thread to go after a super small indie dev for. Do you know how much work it takes to make 10 hours of content? Why do game audiences think they are the authorities on how much content needs to be released between EA and 1.0? Or how much content a game needs to be 'completed'?Ĭomplaining about it comes across as petulant and confused framing it as an ethics violation is absolutely delusional. Devs should absolutely be able to put out an EA game, release two small content updates for it, call it finished, and sell it for $20 without anyone accusing them of 'abandoning' the game. Seeing this kind of response is always baffling. But people feel like they've been somehow ripped off because they don't think the game meets their arbitrary metric for 'a finished game.'

You can play through and complete the game as it stands. From looking at the complaints on forums, it seems like people aren't upset that the game is missing 'promised features'-it sounds like they're upset that the game is content-lite by their standards.
